Catawba (Wisconsin) - You can buy almost anything on eBay these days and one man has put up his "Million Mile" pickup truck for sale with a minimum bid of $29,999. The red 1992 Chevy Silverado belonging to Frank Oresnik of Catawba Wisconsin has 1.03 million miles - so many miles that eBay displays the miles as simply 999,999. Oresnik credits his car’s longevity to regular oil changes and insane maintenance which has replaced four radiators, three gas tanks, five transmissions and six water pumps. Oh, but at least the engine is still original.
Geez, and I was so happy to get my 1992 Saturn to 300,000 miles before it died.

The Chevy commercial on during the Olympics features a 2 million mile truck. My grandfather has an old 454 Chevy truck with over a million miles. I'll have to keep an eye on this auction. Maybe its actually worth putting some money into it and selling off.
Just because this is on ebay is a huge stretch to call it technology related.
more surprising is why he would think it would be worth anywhere near that much! lol u would have to be crazy like that cowboy in Simpon's. Last time I checked cars and trucks didnt increase in value as they got more miles lol. and its not exactly a collectors, but maybe some cowboys thinks so.
I wonder how many timing belts he had to replace or were they still using chains back then?
Impossible. Only a Toyota or a Honda could ever last that long.
Reminds me of the guy who donated his million-mile SAAB to a museum a few years ago.
I guess with proper routine maintenance, you could get any vehicle to go a million miles, road conditions permitting.
Slow day for tech news I see. This short of stuff should be on car and drivers website.
