5. Conclusions

If you skipped to this page without looking at the picture gallery, features tables or display charts, my conclusions won't make much sense to you. I urge you to go back and look at those pages for a quick mostly graphical view of the M590K itself as well as the notebook's performance.

The Eurocom M590K Emperor is a very good gaming notebook that I expect will appeal to hard core gamers looking for a big and powerful machine. The M590K is also built for Engineers, designers and architects. The display is a real winner as are the two SLI-linked Nvidia graphics processors. The AMD MT-40 CPU is no match either for the Eurocom D900K's Dual Core AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ or the Dell M1710's Intel Core Duo T2600. Currently, for another $313 you can upgrade the CPU to a faster MT-44.

Eurocom just announced that it is offering additional graphics processor options for the M590K. Specifically: two SLI-linked 512 MB Nvidia Quadro FX2500Ms, two SLI-linked 512 MB Nvidia GeForce Go 7900GTXes, two SLI-linked 256 MB Nvidia GeForce Go 7900GTXes. The M590K can also be had with single graphics processors.

I'm really excited about the mad graphics processor race on the notebook side. MobilityGuru will continue testing notebooks in its quest for the best of the best.

At $4,260 as configured (at the time of this writing), the Eurocom M590K Emperor is a fairly good buy, though some will still consider it expensive. The M590K can only be purchased from Eurocom at www.eurocom.com.
