Samsung Chairman Charged With Tax Evasion
Seoul (Korea) - 66-year-old Samsung Group Chairman Lee Kun Hee has been charged with tax evasion and breach of duty. South Korean authorities have been investigating Hee for the past three months and accuse him of avoiding $114 million in taxes. Nine other Samsung executives have also been charged.
Hee denies all the accusations, but has hinted that he’d be willing to resign amidst the scanal.
