Logitech DiNovo Mini Puts Powerful Keyboard in Your Palm
The DiNovo Mini is Logitech’s latest top-of-the-line wireless multimedia keyboard offering. This new model features a keyboard charging cable, an incredibly slim profile, and Bluetooth 2.0 support.
This wireless keyboard features a compact clamshell design, with a flip-up cover that protects the keys when it’s not in use. It communicates with a miniature USB receiver via Bluetooth 2.0, and includes a plug-in power adapter to recharge its built-in lithium ion batteries (a typical charge last 30 days, and the unit takes only four hours to recharge). It also includes an ambient light sensor that turns the backlight off when room lighting levels are high enough to see the keys without assistance (conserves battery power). The unit not only works with Windows XP and Windows Vista, it’s also well-tuned for Media Center Editions for both operating systems, and also works with the Sony Playstation 3. Logitech even includes a microfiber cleaning cloth to help keep its surfaces clean and fingerprint-free.
With the cover closed, the DiNovo Mini’s dimensions are 5.98" X 3.5" X 1.08" / 152 mm X 90 mm X 27.5 mm; with the cover open those dimensions change to 5.98" by 6" by 2.55" / 152 mm X 152.8 mm X 65 mm. Its weight is only 6.25 oz / 175g with battery and receiver in place. Despite the compact keyboard layout, it’s surprisingly comfortable to use, and offers excellent remote control capabilities as well.
At an MSRP of around $150, this unit is by no means cheap. But it does offer one of the most stylish, compact, and usable media center/entertainment PC wireless keyboards we’ve yet to see. Check out the DiNovo Mini product page for more information.
