Amazon to Sell Kindle DX Outside U.S.
In October Amazon announced that the company would start shipping the Kindle outside the United States. Today the online retailer revealed that the Kindle's bigger but younger brother, the Kindle DX is also going global.
Now available in over 100 countries, the Kindle DX boasts an electronic paper display, auto-rotate capability, storage for up to 3,500 books and wireless delivery of books in roughly 60 seconds. Available today and shipping on January 19, pricing starts at $489.
The Kindle DX is a larger version of the Kindle ereader. With its 9.7-inch screen, the DX is better for reading magazines, newspapers and textbooks. When Amazon launched the device last year, it also announced partnerships with several textbook publishers and newspapers.

Great. Except $500 is pretty expensive for an e-book reader.
No thank you Amazon.
Keep the Kindle in US please.
I'm not paying several hundred dollars for a ebook reader, were I still have to pay for the books anyways.
Guess what? My local book store sells books at about $10 each, and that's just fine for me...
I wonder how fast they can delete a book from the device
$500? Lol, I'd prefer to spend $400 on a cheap laptop that can play music, play video, browse inet and even play games. Get real. $500. Pfft.
