1. Transatlantic Flight Without Recharging

It's a familiar scenario for business travelers who spend a lot of time in the air with their laptops: despite energy-saving mobile processors inside the notebook and sophisticated management mechanisms, the battery's juice almost always seems to run out just when you need to access your data, with Murphy's Law in full force. Not really a problem, you might think - there are outlets on planes after all, but unfortunately these are usually available only in business-class seats, and not the cattle pen airlines pass off as economy seating.

But now even the guys in the back of the plane can do something to alleviate the situation - provided, that is, they are in possession of an N-Charge Power System. This is a high-capacity battery that is supposed to enable a notebook to run for up to ten hours independent of the power supply system. At least that's what manufacturer Valence Technology claims.

Reason enough for THG to take a closer look at the high-capacity, universal battery system.
