Gears of War 3 Announced Accidentally on Live
Gears of War 3 will be coming April 2011.
After the success of the first two Gears of War games on Xbox 360, and the way things were left off in the second game, a third entry was inevitable. Of course, gamers weren't expecting to learn about Gears of War 3 the way they did this morning when they logged onto Xbox Live to see this image:
We suspect that the announcement was a bit of a mix up after Cliff Bleszinski was originally scheduled to appear on the Jimmy Fallon show last night to announce something new. Due to a last minute switcheroo, CliffyB was bumped to Monday's show; but we're guessing those behind the Xbox Live messages didn't hold it back.
While we'll have to wait until Monday night to get the full details, Edge claims to have a source with inside info on Gears 3.

This is probably going to go the same way as the Halo series: progressively worse. They keep turning the sequels into easier and easier games so the masses can play it. It annoys me to great lengths and has driven me away from multi-player gaming.

GoW (original) was fun, but I'll certainly skip this.
As cool as 3rd person shooters can be, I much prefer 1st person.

You can tell when games are squeezing money out for every drop its worth, unfortunately i doubt there trying to squeeze money out of this franchise. I played the first one and loved it, still trying to pass the seconds one, its pretty good and lives up to the first one and even surpasses it in some cases. I really don't care if they release this for PC or not. I have all 3 Next Gen systems why should i care, unless its exclusive to the PC then i would buy it. Can't wait to pass the 2nd one and wonder what this one will have in store =D
Get off the computer kid. You can yell your profanity into your 360 mic all you want. That's why the leagues of computer and software engineers built it for you, to keep you out of our hair when the real gaming takes place.

I don't get Microsoft (does anyone else?). They release the first two Halos for the PC as well, then just skip out on the third? Then they release Gears of War, but not GOW 2. It's like hey thanks for buying XP, then sorry for buying Vista, but hey go spend another $$$ to get 7 because we fixed it, but sorry you can't play new Microsoft games on it...you'll need a 360 for that.

I'm pretty sure they turned the difficulty in single player mode up...
On easy in Halo 1 I can literally just decide not to shoot things or reload in front of them and not get hit by anything.

GoW 2 still isn't out for PC. Wouldn't hold my breath for GoW 2. The PC may be more powerful but that doesn't mean too much when you are playing console ports that look just as good on the console as they do on the 360. Get used to the new reality. Or whine about it more.
