Denon, mainly know for its high-end audio and video entertainment devices is jumping onto the networked audio systems train. The company announced the "S-series" of models, which connect via Wi-Fi (802.11a/b/g) to home networks and network attached storage devices as well as PCs to stream digital music content.
Both the S-32 and the S-52 also integrate playback capability of content received from digital music download service Rhapsody. A 30-month free trial is included; the service is priced at $13 per month after that.
In addition to the basic feature set of the $500 S-32, the $700 S-52 comes with a CD player, HD Radio, and a USB port and is XM radio "ready". Supported
