Report: Bluetooth Watch Coming to BlackBerry
Attention all BlackBerry owners with money to burn: You'll definitely need the possibly not even real BlackBerry watch below.
Now, I know what you're thinking. I'm talking about RIM and watches and all you're hearing is, "Dick Tracy, Dick Tracy, Dick Tracy, Dick Tracy, Dick Tracy." Well, I hate to burst your bubble but this isn't actually a wristwatch cell phone. It's a peripheral for the BlackBerry that's already in your pocket or purse.
According to CrackBerry, the device isn't RIM-built and won't feature the company's logo. Instead, a new BlackBerry-dedicated accessory company developed the device for use with BlackBerry smartphones.
Going by what we know so far, the watch uses an OLED screen to display message previews so you don’t have to take your phone out of your bag, purse, pocket or briefcase. Handy for meetings or driving but we're betting it'll cost an arm and a leg.
So if you like watching the all the pretty colors your money makes as it goes up in flames, watch this space. Until then ogle the images below and let us know what you think.

you know your a heardcore geek when......
@captaincharisma
Haha. Agreed.
If done right though this could be kind of cool. Make it small, no one wants to wear a cellphone sized watch, and make the battery life last long. Also don't make me sell my first born in order to get one.
I wonder if this news article would be different if we were talking about an Ipod accessory.
Design Faux Pas Numero Uno, making the display screen way to small for the size of the device face. Looks cheap just like all those netbooks with the same design.
now i want a dick tracy watch.. dammit, tom!

No.
Small typo here : "So if you like watching the all the pretty colors"
It looks like a gadget, but if you already have a BB and need a new watch, why not?
I wonder if this news article would be different if we were talking about an Ipod accessory.
Only if Marcus authors it.
This is really freaking cool!!! I want one for my Pre!!!

What is with all the Marcus hate over the last few days? I'm sure I write more Apple articles than he does...
Back in the 90's i use to have a watch, but then I got a cell phone. Now people reach in their pocket for the time rather then looking at their watch. Technology has come full circle.
Ahhh... bluetooth...
Low bandwidth while using a lot of power and funds...
I could never force myself to use it much, even with a good handful of bluetooth devices...
My next watch is better anyways.
Rolex Explorer II.
A $5,000 watch my father wants. >_<
It's self powering atleast... (mechanical watch that uses the wrist strap for the force)
