8. Making Use of that Large Screen
Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) is the hot new OS, but we still want to show v2.2 some love! Check out these 20 tips to make your Froyo experience more delicious.
One of the most significant differences between a tablet and a smartphone is the screen size, so it makes sense that you’re going to want to make the most out of all that extra screen real estate. Because the pre-Honeycomb tablets had to adapt the Smartphone nature of the Android operating system to a larger, higher resolution screen than it was meant to support, certain things work out a bit odd.
Most bothersome is the way some tablets organize your home screen widgets and shortcuts. The home screen layout keeps its 4x4 grid, even though the higher resolution can easily support much more than that, resulting in ridiculous gas between widgets and icons. Fortunately, this can be remedied with a home screen replacement app such as ADW Launcher, which allows you to assign the number of icon grids available on the home screen as well as many other customizations.
Then there’s the issue of blurry wallpapers. This is a result of the standard sized wallpapers (usually around 800x800 pixels) being stretched to accommodate the tablet’s higher resolution (usually 1024x1024). Unfortunately, there’s not much you can do to avoid this, apart from creating your own wallpapers and fitting them to the appropriate resolution.

Hey Tom's, Do you have any plans on implementing a Captcha for comments or something? Things are getting bad when the first 5 comments are all spam (all in a 24 hour period).
If you are using T-Mobile, you can go with a SIM card for $0.10/min for talk and purchase a day's worth of data whenever you are away from WiFi for $1.49. I find this approach very inexpensive for my needs. I think ATT has something similar.

That's a good money saving tip. Are the rates available on T-Mobile's website, or do you have to call up or talk to them in person for it?
While turning off unused radios (3/4G, GPS, WiFi), every toggle app that I've tried has caused problems with the actual thing they're supposed to control - toggle the radios on and off. With several of those apps, removing them actually killed the ability to turn on those same radios! Luckily, I'm able to re-flash my ROM so I was able to recover in every case, but some people and some phones/tablets won't be so lucky.

Spam comments are indeed problematic, and we are working on it.
