I’ve been testing running shoes for over a decade and, over the past couple of years, Asics has assembled what I rate as the strongest line-up of any brand available right now.

That’s especially true for road running. Whether you’re after a supportive cushioned shoe, a versatile daily trainer, or a carbon-plated racer, Asics has a good claim to have the best option in all categories thanks to sneakers like the Gel-Kayano, Novablast and Metaspeed series.

The really good news is that almost all of Asics top shoes are currently reduced in the Amazon and Asics sales. I’ve picked out the seven best deals available on shoes I’ve tested and enjoyed, with options to suit a variety of runners.

Asics running shoe deals

Asics Gel-Cumulus 27
Asics Gel-Cumulus 27: was $140 now $89 at Amazon

The Asics Gel-Cumulus 27 often gets overlooked because of the popularity of the Novablast and Gel-Nimbus lines, but it's usually available for less than those shoes and it's a comfortable, fairly lightweight daily trainer in its own right. I've tested the newer Gel-Cumulus 28 model and it's not a major update on the 27, so this deal on the older shoe is much better value.

Asics Fuji Lite 6
Asics Fuji Lite 6: was $130 now $99 at ASICS America

The Fuji Lite 6 is a lightweight trail-running shoe that offers reliable grip and a speedy, responsive ride for your off-road runs. It's also on sale at Amazon, but there are more sizes and colors discounted in Asics' own sale.

Asics Gel-Nimbus 27
Asics Gel-Nimbus 27 : was $165 now $109 at Amazon

The most comfortable trainer in the Asics line-up, the Gel-Nimbus 27 is pretty much just as good as the Gel-Nimbus 28 based on my testing, so swooping on this sale price is a smart move, because it's a very expensive shoe at full whack.

Asics Sonicblast
Asics Sonicblast : was $180 now $109 at Amazon

if you feel the need for speed, the Asics Sonicblast is a plated super-trainer that's currently going for a song in the Amazon sale. It's not as cushy and comfortable as shoes like the Nimbus and Novablast, but offers a faster ride for workouts and races.

Asics Gel-Kayano 32
Asics Gel-Kayano 32: was $165 now $124 at Amazon

I'm currently finishing up my testing of the new Asics Gel-Kayano 33, which I've enjoyed using, but not more than I did the Asics Gel-Kayano 32. I'd recommend grabbing the older shoe in a sale as a result, and its currently reduced by $41 in the Amazon sale.

Asics Novablast 5
Asics Novablast 5: was $150 now $129 at Amazon

The Novablast 6 has just come out and it has certainly impressed me in my early testing, but the price of the shoe has risen to $155, and there's certainly a case for eyeing up the Novablast 5 in sales instead. I'd wager the Novablast 5 might drop even lower than $129 now the new shoe is out, but this is still a good deal if you need a daily trainer right here and now.

Asics Superblast 2
Asics Superblast 2: was $199 now $149 at Amazon

The Superblast 2 is both extremely cushioned and suprisingly lightweight, features that make it one of the most versatile shoes in the Asics line-up. It's comfortable, fast, and even looks pretty good — I've used it as my only shoe for runs and general use on several trips. Right now it's $50 off at Amazon, with several colors and most sizes available.
