Thanks to Angry Birds: Seasons, an update to our favorite bird-flinging game isn't exactly rare. With extra levels for everything from Chinese New Year to Halloween, it's rare that a new Seasons release will generate any kind of massive buzz. However, the latest Angry Birds release is definitely causing a ruckus, and that's because it's not just a few more levels, it's a whole new game.
Set in space, the new title brings a whole new angle to the game as well as new birds, new abilities, 60 new levels, and some secret bonus levels. The game was released on March 22, which was last Thursday, and this morning Rovio revealed just how popular the game has proven to be in the short time since it launched.
According to a tweet from Rovio's Twitter account, the game was downloaded a whopping 10 million times in less than three days of availability. Rovio didn't add much else detail other than that (such as how many of those downloads were paid downloads versus the ad-supported version on Android), but the company did ask us to 'stay tuned for more' so perhaps we'll see some more specific numbers in the coming days.
