My wife is fully, unapologetically BookTok-obsessed and has a reading routine that’s been optimized to levels you'd expect from a sci-fi space station. So when the Amazon Big Spring Sale landed, I knew that I should ask her for the best products for a book lover, eager to complete my Christmas shopping in March.
Unsurprisingly, it starts with a Kindle. And in Amazon's Big Spring Sale, the newest Colorsoft is 30% off. A Kindle is lighter than a paperback, easier on your eyes than a phone, and crucially, it makes reading in bed feel effortless instead of slightly inconvenient.
Then you get into the extras, and if you're buying for someone else, this is where you're going to start scratching your head. A Kindle stand sounds excessive until you use one (apparently). Suddenly, you’re not holding anything, you’re just… reading. My wife says, combined with a remote page turner, your book-reading setup is "elite". No reaching, no shifting, just tapping a button.
As I said, I'm a passenger in this BookTok world (I don't even have a TikTok account), but my wife has promised me the products listed below are excellent gifts for yourself or for anyone who's caught up in the world of Sarah J. Maas and co.
