The latest entry in the annual NBA 2K series has entered the court, and it's once again the most polished and authentic way to play basketball from the comfort of your couch. NBA 2K26 includes the series' standard suite of online and offline modes, including MyTEAM and MyGM. The Switch 2 version isn't as graphically impressive as on other consoles, but it does offer portable play. That's a pretty big advantage.

Sonic Mania is the main reason to buy this double pack — it's the best 2D Sonic game in years, inspired by the classics with beautiful sprites and sidescrolling levels. However, getting Team Sonic Racing too makes this a great value. While it can't beat Mario Kart, Team Sonic Racing is actually a solid effort in the kart racing genre that adds its own twist with team racing.

Forty tracks spanning current hits to classics, up to 6-player local multiplayer, and a new Party mode for unpredictable dance showdowns. Just Dance 2026 is perfect for gatherings where you need everyone entertained.

Stray casts you as a curious cat in a world filled with humanoid robots. There’s a lot to like in this cyberpunk adventure, from its visually-striking setting, to its nonverbal storytelling, to its dedicated “meow” button. The gameplay is simple, but some platforming and puzzle challenges should keep players engaged during Stray’s relatively short playtime.

Persona 5 Royal is part turn-based RPG and part high-school simulator. You play as a new student who has recently moved to Tokyo. Soon you discover the ability to transverse a strange alternate reality and form The Phantom Thieves in an effort to fix the corrupt society around you. Just be warned, Persona 5 Royal will consume all your free time once it gets its hooks in.

The ultimate island gaming experience on Nintendo Switch... other than Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Featuring Hello Kitty and friends, this super cute cozy game is full of quests to complete, decorating and customization. I've played it for over 150 hours myself — if you love Hello Kitty, you just can't pass it up.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 brings together some of Capcom’s most underrated and nostalgic fighters, like Rival Schools and Cyberbots. It’s a quiet, retro gem (especially on Switch) for anyone who misses the charm and chaos of old-school arcades.

A full remake of the original Super Mario RPG released in 1996 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), this role-playing game sees Mario, Bowser, Peach and some new friends embark on an adventure to repair a wish-granting star. With updated graphics, gameplay and new cinematics, Super Mario RPG has never looked (or played) this well, but the original game's charms have been carefully retained as well.

Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma packs a lot in. In this RPG you'll need to fight enemies, tend to your farm, craft and more. And for the first time in the Rune Factory series, you can also manage your town by constructing buildings to entice more townsfolk to move in! It's my personal favorite Nintendo Switch 2 game of any I've played so far.

Hyrule goes open world, with Link waking up to a land stricken by Calamity — and it's up to him to save the world from Ganon and rescue Princess Zelda (again). You can do as much or as little as you like towards that goal — the world is yours to explore as you see fit.

Fans of Donkey Kong Bananza will definitely want to experience some of DK's hit games from the past. For starters, you'll definitely want to get Donkey Kong Country Returns HD on sale for $44. With updated visuals and 80 action-packed stages, this is a classic platformer that's a must-play. You'll be navigating challenges like mine carts, rocket barrels and animal companions in solo or co-op play.

Pokémon Legends Z-A reworks the franchise's traditional turn-based combat, but the thrill of capturing powerful pocket-sized monsters remains as compelling as ever. This deal is on the Switch version of the game, which means you won't get the absolute best performance or framerates, but you can still play it on your Switch 2 or original Switch.

If you've ever wanted to construct your own Mario courses rather than just play them, Super Mario Maker 2 is the game for you. Play, create and share your courses with the world and dive into a full single-player story as well. With thousands of user-created courses already available, Super Mario Maker 2 offers a nearly endless supply of new content.

A JRPG of epic proportions has made a comeback on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Dragon Quest VII features an extremely memorable quest over dozens of hours of gameplay — it's definitely one you'll want to tackle on the hybrid Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2.

Join Mario and friends for their biggest party yet in Super Mario Party Jamboree. With 110 mini-games and seven boards, this party game is packed with content and is an excellent way to gather friends and family for a fast-paced, competitive multiplayer experience.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is a fantastic game that you shouldn't miss. Our Senior Entertainment Editor, Rory, noted that it was "one of [his] biggest gaming surprises in 2025." The latest installment in the Hyrule Warriors series sees Princess Zelda thrown back thousands of years into Hyrule's past, joining the Imprisoning War against the mighty Ganondorf. With multiple playable characters and the Warriors' trademark large-scale battles, this is a thrilling spin-off that tells a previously untold canon Zelda tale.

Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch 2 is the definitive way to enjoy CDPR's critically acclaimed first-person open-world RPG on the go.
