2025 is nearly over but there's still time to score some of the best Christmas deals from around the web and get them home in time for the holidays.

I know because I review PCs for a living here at Tom's Guide so I've been watching prices all week, and I'm impressed that the Samsung Odyssey G5 gaming monitor is on sale for as low as $379 at Amazon, which is nearly $200 off the usual asking price.

This slightly better version is branded the Samsung Odyssey G6 but sports the same 27-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) QD-OLED panel with a faster 240Hz refresh rate and support for HDR, AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync, so it's great for gaming.

I wanted to flag this discount because great gaming monitor deals aren't easy to find at the moment, and I really think this size and spec of display hits a nice sweet spot in terms of price to performance.

I review monitors all the time here at Tom's Guide and for my money there's no more worthwhile upgrade than splurging for an OLED display. I think you get more striking colors, deeper blacks and more impressive contrasts when gaming and watching movies on an OLED display with HDR support, making this 27" monitor feel like a luxury device.

The 1440p resolution is also nice because you get a little boost in detail over traditional 1080p without the demands of trying to run your favorite games in 4K. It's a lot easier to run the best PC games at 1440p, and on this Samsung Odyssey G5 they'll look and run buttery-smooth thanks to the minimum 180Hz refresh rate.

But if you (or whoever's lucky enough to receive this display as a gift) prefer gaming at frenetically fast speeds—say, over 180-200 frames per second—it would be a good idea to take advantage of the bigger discounts on the faster, more expensive Odyssey G6 models Amazon has on sale. That's because the more expensive models have faster refresh rates, and thanks to their support for Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync they can effortlessly display hundreds of frames per second without any issues.

These are hefty discounts on some high-quality OLED gaming monitors from Samsung, and the fact that they'll ship in time to arrive this weekend makes them great last-minute gift ideas for the PC gaming afficionado in your life. But act fast, because I don't know how long the discount will last!
