The new MacBook Pro M5 was just released last month, but it's already on sale at Amazon. Clearly, the Black Friday deities are at work! Joking aside, this is a deal you don't want to miss out on.
Right now, you can get the 14-inch MacBook Pro M5 for $1,444 at Amazon. Saving $155 on one of the best MacBooks is quite nice. While this laptop shares the same design as its two immediate predecessors, it packs the new M5 chip, which delivers astonishing performance and battery life.
Here's why this is currently my favorite MacBook Pro and why you should consider buying it.
The MacBook Pro M5 improves on its predecessor thanks to its powerful M5 chip and faster SSD. Though it's not a revolutionary update from before, it's a fantastic option for power users who demand a powerful and portable notebook with epic battery life.
Like I said in my MacBook Pro M5 review, this is a fantastic laptop because it nails the basics for power users: strong performance, epic battery life and easy portability. It offers more ports than a MacBook Air (three Thunderbolt 4 / USB-C, one SD Card slot and an HDMI port). Its 14-inch display size is also in that sweet spot when it comes to easy readability.
The Apple M5 chip delivers a major performance boost over the previous model and the best Windows laptops. If you're a video editor, you can render 4K videos faster than before. Gamers will also enjoy impressive performance in titles like Resident Evil 4 that have been optimized for M-series Macs. In short, you won't be disappointed by the MacBook Pro's incredible performance.
This model doesn't have a nano-texture display that reduces glare, but it’s still one of the finest laptop screens out there. The 14-inch Liquid Retina XDR panel, with its smooth 120Hz refresh rate and sharp 3024 x 1964 resolution, helps everything look great and run smoothly.
You won't have to worry if you accidentally leave this laptop's charger at home, as it offers more than a full day of battery life. In our testing, the MacBook Pro M5 lasted for 18 hours! While that's 30 minutes shorter than its predecessor, Apple's latest MacBook Pro lasted ten hours longer than the Dell 14 Premium!
While the MacBook Pro M5 is a modest spec bump over the MacBook Pro M4, there's no denying that it's one of the most powerful and longest-lasting laptops available.
I don't know how long this deal will last, so I suggest not waiting for Black Friday and taking advantage of the sale right now. You can thank me later!
