It isn't often I get to call something my dream keyboard, but that very thing happened a couple weeks ago when I tested the Epomaker Glyph. I know you should never judge a book by its cover but as soon as I saw the Glyph, I knew I'd like it — and when I was reviewing it, I fell in love with it. Money can't buy happiness but it sure can buy you a keyboard that's an utter delight to type on.

And this week you don't need to pay full price either, as Amazon Prime Day sales have slashed the Glyph's price by 20%, so you can grab it for just $111. When I say this is a deal you can't pass up, I mean it. I review keyboards for a living and after having tested nearly 100 decks, this is my dream keyboard. If, like me, you type for a living, there's no better keyboard to buy right now.

The Epomaker Glyph is the most fun mechanical keyboard I’ve had the pleasure of testing. Packing responsive, light Wisteria V2 linear switches and boasting a creamy and buttery sound profile, the Glyph puts the joy back into typing. The keyboard sports a charming typewriter-like design with dual screens and customizable RGB lighting, and build quality is solid too.

So, what makes the Glyph so good that I can't stop smiling when I type on it? First of all, its design. The Glyph is a typewriter-style keyboard so it blends vintage and modern aesthetics. You get dual screens that show you the date and time, the keyboard's vitals, and you can even display a GIF or static image on it.

A return lever is located in the top-right corner and it acts as the Enter key when pushed up and Backspace when pulled down. I know it sounds gimmicky but it's actually a lot of fun! And gimmicks aren't always a bad thing. Adding to the Glyph's typewriter-like design are its rounded double-shot PBT keycaps which are soft to touch and lovely to feel.

I would never suggest spending any amount of money on a keyboard that isn't great to type on — and the Glyph offers an outstanding typing experience. Its pre-lubed Epomaker Wisteria V2 linear switches require just 38g of force to activate, and have a pre-travel distance of 2mm (total 3.6mm), so you don't need to press them all the way down to activate them, which means that you can type quickly.

And type quickly I do. Straight out of the box, I achieved a type speed of 109 words per minute with 93.2% accuracy. Yes, I am a speed demon. It's also hot-swappable which means that you can use any 3- or 5-pin south-facing MX switches with it. Simply pop them in — no need to de- and re-solder them to the PCB.

I could wax lyrical about the Glyph and how much I love it all day long, but I wouldn't want to bore you. One last thing before I stop, though: the Glyph comes with a CloudGel wrist rest that's made of high-quality silicone and PVC materials. It's ridiculously soft to rest your wrists on, and it makes typing all day long very comfortable. Just an added bonus of getting this keyboard over all others.

Amazon Prime Day sales are a great time to save on your favorite tech, so if you're on the hunt for a new keyboard, this is the one for you. Right now, the Epomaker Glyph is down to just $111, making it an unmissable deal. It's one of the best mechanical keyboards you can buy, especially if you love one that looks a bit outlandish!
