Breggz launches the first IMAX Enhanced certified in-ear headphones at CES 2026

Amsterdam-based audio company Breggz announced at CES 2026 in Las Vegas this week that its flagship Zohn-1 earbuds are the world's first to bear the "IMAX Enhanced" certification.

In fact, the flagship device features both IMAX Enhanced and DTS certifications meant for high-quality audio in films and music, as well as "custom 3D-printed shells" to reduce audio leak without relying on noise cancellation.

The Zohn-1 comes in two different sizes to accommodate a wide variety of ears and also comes with balanced armature drivers, an integrated hearing test that lets you fine-tune the sound to your own ears and six pairs of swappable ear tips for optimal fit and comfort.

They also come with one of the wildest carrying cases I've ever seen. Check this thing out:

Unfortunately, we don't quite know yet when these new IMAX-certified Zohn-1 earbuds will be available or how much they'll cost. Right now the Zohn-1s are available for €895,00 (or roughly $1,050 USD) on the Breggz website, but they're completely sold out and make no clear mention of IMAX or DTS certification.

That suggests the company has sold through last year's stock and we may have to wait a bit for Breggz to relist the Zohn-1 earbuds, presumably with the promised certifications and perhaps for roughly the same price. But it could vary a bit, because when the Zohn-1s were showcased at CES 2025 last year they had an estimated price tag of $2,200.

That lines up with the Kickstarter for the Zohn-1 earbuds that Breggz ran last year, which successfully beat its goal and raised €66,079 for the company. The Kickstarter description for the Zohn-1s listed their planned sale price as $2,200, though folks who backed the Kickstarter early could get a pair for around $1,800.

We'll just have to wait and see how Breggz lists the "IMAX Enhanced" Zohn-1 earbuds for sale, and hopefully we'll have a chance to review a pair and tell you all about them before long. Stay tuned!
