Could this be going up against the Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360?
With so much news of a Xbox 360 bundles packing in a 250 GB hard drive, it's only expected that Sony would offer a similar option. Thus far, however, Sony has remained relatively quiet on the topic of a SKU that's a penny more than the $299.99 new price point of the PS3 Slim 120 GB.
Engadget has received a tip of a 250 GB PS3 Slim that appears identical to the current PS3 Slim, save for the bigger hard drive. The bundle, peeped in a new box art render, comes with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and a single DualShock 3 controller.
Sony Computer Entertainment America has denied the photo and said that no such bundle is slated for North America – but there are still plenty of options for Europe and Asia.
Uncharted 2 ships in North America on October 13, with a later date (unannounced) for the rest of the world.

dammnit I just bought the ps3 slim today and sold my ps3 phat.
Um just by the low version and put in a larger HD. It is cheaper and very easy. I bought the 80GB but now have a 320GB HD installed.

so whats the problem? only thing included is a game (which you can buy) and an extra 130GB when its cheaper to just swap to a bigger hard drive or use an external for your media purchases.
I'll stick with my 350GB PS3
I have a few extra 500GB drives I could put in my PS3... However my 80 Gig isn't even close to HALF full, and I would see it to be a bigger hassle than it is worth right now. If I want media, I stream it from my 1TB network box... :-D

I'm planning on a PS3 when times are better. My car payment ends in January, and after my tax return hits I'll be OK-enough for one. I just hope that my VCR doesn't mind being moved to the attic, since it hasn't even been turned on in 3 years. Never say never, it's not going into the trash...
