Prey doesn’t need the added performance of a high-end gaming system for its basic settings, even at the super-high resolutions supported by top-end 30” monitors. It still exceeds the performance of the more basic SLI system by an average of 28%.

Anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering are settings that normally kill performance at high resolutions, yet Prey still doesn’t put much stress on either system. The Überclok Reactor extends its lead to 31%.

Quake 4 might be a great game, but its graphics engine doesn’t put much stress on modern hardware. The Überclok Reactor shows an average 51% performance lead over the lower cost Dell system with anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering disabled.

We normally expect the performance lead of a high-end system to increase when AA and AF are enabled, as lower-cost systems are typically unable to cope. The reverse happened in Quake 4, with Überclok’s lead dropping to a still-respectable 31%.

with the exception of Supreme Commander and Warhammer. The games tested are clearly last generation. Why are you still running DX9 games to benchmark a DX10 system? get something there to actually stress the system a little bit.

Would like to go higher than 4 but my abit FP-IN9 mobo refuses. The same with everyone else who has this board. Point is, you should get your e8400 up to 4.4 at least with a OC friendly board.

Check out those settings. Apparently raising the cpu vvt voltage quite high can help a lot with stability.
extra cooling for the northbridge would be a good idea though.
