2. Ditching Connect

Criticism of Connect is nearly universal. It remains a seething mass of bugs. There isn't space here to discuss all of Connect's issues, but they range from stalling if more than a few albums are queued for transfer (thereby wiping the player) to just plain failing to write to the device. While some of these issues might be particular to individual users, the reception for Connect hasn't been good in any instance we've seen.

Without Connect, you'll lose the Artist Link function. Did it ever work, though?

Luckily enough, there are solutions and replacements available for those willing to take the plunge. The applications below are compatible with Windows XP and Windows 2000/NT.
