Justin 'Mac' Long Messes With Bieber-aware Teen
Justin Long, the iPhone griefer.
Justin Long may be best known around these parts as the semi-obnoxious Mac in the Apple's former "I'm a Mac" commercials. It seems that his days as the embodiment of Apple are over, but that doesn't mean that he's done with playing around with Apple products.
The actor appeared on Jimmy Kimmel earlier this week and part of his time on the show was him showing off his experience with a mis-text from what we presume to be a teen (or tween) who knows how to spell Justin Bieber but not much else.
Skip ahead to around three minutes into the first video to get to the goods.

Did anyone else notice in the third page that in the second row to the left he's got the Cydia application? Lol, the mac guy jailbreaks his iphone just like everyone else.
Is that Cydia I see on his homescreen?
Darn you, beat me to it.
"hi, i'm a mac"
"and im a PC"
"hey PC, can you jailbreak windows phones? i can download any app!"
"no, you don't have to jailbreak to get good apps on my phones, open market"
"too bad, jailbreaking is...wait, your firing me?"
I wonder what this guy would say to a DROID guy.
Mac Guy: "I'm an iPhone"
DROID Guy: "I'm a DROID"
Mac Guy: "You can jailbreak me"
DROID GUY: "What for? I'm already on Verizon. Oh, and might I mention that my camera is superior to yours...AND, I don't need a case to avoid dropped calls."
Mac Guy: "Well I have a lot more apps in my store."
DROID GUY: You also have a lot of useless apps in your store.
That was pretty funny.
Ah ha ha!
i just love how the mac vs. pc commercials were targeted for people who were complete idiots and knew nothing about a computer other than, oh, mac is obviously better because you "dont have to deal with all the crashes, viruses and spyware"
.
of course the typical joe with common sense knows that the more Mac users their are, the less often you can actually say that phrase.
Aighux mourdr daugh ingluish laanguage liek dat gurl.
Because it's cool to not be grammatical. Fo sho!!
I don't know whether to laugh or cry at her ignorance. I shall laugh. He Ha!
I love that Apple's poster boy jailbreaks his phone!
I hate macs, but gotta say, I miss those PC vs Macs ads.................

"ITS BIEBER NOT BEEBER"

Mac Guy: "I'm an iPhone"
Pc Guy: "No you´re Eduardo"

I dont care that Justin Long did commercials for Apple, the dude is awesome.
luv u, Justin, no matter what
It's not just tweens who text like that; my 21 year old sister texts like that too and she actually studies English in college so, yeah..... I see a pretty bleak future ahead........

Studying English in college, a bleak future indeed.
How are you failing English?!?!? You SPEAK English!!!!!

Speaking and writing are very different, writing correctly is usually much harder then speaking correctly.
Aside from all the Mac bla bla here, Justin points out a very disturbing trend of texting reforming the language. ... and not in a good way. Call me old-school, but no matter what technology camp you love to hate, spelling is still a universal thing to show your education or lack there of. It may be cool between peers, but an ill skill for real life. Just imagine a job application written like that (and yes, they are more frequent now). Kids (and some adults) do themselves a disservice to mangle language like that.
Go ahead and down-rate me since I didn't bash the Mac or anything like that, but this post has nothing to with which company you like to give your money right now.
He would need to jailbreak the phone in order to enable VGA out of the SMS application.
That was funny. But i remember this guy from that really popular and i watched it couple of times "Jeepers Creepers', then Pineapple Express and Drag me to hell, Youth in revolt was latest i watched of him.
Isn't it sad how text speech mutilates the English language (or other languages for that matter - the way my native tongue Dutch is being mutilated is even worse)? That you use shorthand in texts is quite normal, but why 'phelt' or 'igknore'? Such words are barely shorter or even longer than the original, so what's the point in using them?
i'm pretty sure he wasn't in Pineapple Express.
Slabbo aka nimrod, he was in the deleted scenes one.
Justin Long is way cooler live than in the movies he stars in. =D
I actually wanna see a transcript of the whole thing.

Those examples were what he was doing on purpose to make fun of the fact that that's what the other person's messages looked like. Then she never even mentioned it.

Sorta ;-). My Australian English spelling is "corrected" to the different US version. I don't mind as I think USA standards mostly improved spelling, but NOT pronunciation! Then we have different terms for the same thing & different meanings for the same word, even between adjacent states! That's not even national let alone global let alone UNIVERSAL!
semi? semi?? semi ??? Are you kidding me.
