Final Fantasy XIII Eng. Trailer and Theme Song
A full English trailer for you western fans.
The Japanese gaming world has been enjoying Final Fantasy XIII since its native release on December 17, 2009 while the rest of us wait for the western release. That won't be here until March 9, but today we get treated to an English trailer that showcases some of the localized voice acting that most of us will be listening to.
Also revealed is the theme track for Final Fantasy XIII courtesy of X-Factor star Leona Lewis, whose "My Hands" song will be a part of the game.
Tom Corson, EVP/GM of RCA Music Group, said of the musical contribution, "Leona is a natural fit with the game’s powerful themes and strong female protagonist. We’re delighted to be part of this effort, bringing great musical artistry to Final Fantasy XIII which is a riveting and dynamic gaming experience."

Lame song. But still interesting. Color me intrigued
pfft that was an awesome Song and a great trailer. I just hope that early reviews of how bad this game is are wrong. This really does look like and awesome game. CANT WAIT!
I think Square Enix should focus less on their FF series and more on their older Squaresoft IPs. I know many people would pay to get an overhauled Xenogears with the second disc development completed.

The voice acting is pretty mundane. They only have 1 voice actor who tried to put emotion into it.

I find US version of theme song usually are lame compared to Japanese theme song...
ugh...why not redo the classics with better graphics...i know so much more people that would rather the classics redone than this...

Something about thinking of playing on a 360 controller bugs me like when FF7 was released on Playstation instead of Nintendo though I do understand square's reasoning.
Also the PS3 version which has full 1080p cut scenes and uncompressed audio, which with my home theater I can utilize both fully.

As incredibly amazing as that would be, it's (probably) never going to happen. They would need to rework each game from the ground up and wont be able to change the story for fear of angering the fans (constituting extra costs getting the new environment to fit the original story). We can always hope though...

yeah i want to get through the game without the damn thing redringing on me. Besides verses XIII is only on the ps3, and i want god of war III, i also want dantes inferno.

Because it requires you to pay attention for longer than 30 seconds, thus eliminating 95% of Wii owners.

Having played Final Fantasy games since the very first, I honestly am not really that enthusiastic about #13 coming up. Although I enjoyed #7, it was very predictable in certain places, a trend that's gotten worse with subsequent games. #12 felt a little refreshing, in that it introduced a new exploration//combat system & a slightly less-predictable story, but even that one I got bored with about half-way through. All of the latter games, however, have had this silly little mini-game for leveling-up your characters - little games that are fun for the first few minutes, but really get annoying when you're trying to level-up your characters in a specific way.
I guess I just prefer RPG's more open-ended style gameplay, like Morrowind/Oblivion, the Fallout series, Baldur's Gate/Shadows of Amn, or Mass Effect just to name a few.

Riiight. It would take 2 Wii's to render the polygons, 1 for the textures, 2 for post-processing, and another for everything else.
Though I could be overestimating the Wii's power, it might take a few more
Umm.. let's not forget about Vagrant Story. They [Square-Enix] are idiots! The focus so much on FF that they deny other hit titles like VG a change to flourish and live on through sequels, prequels or alternate universes.
The only question I have for people saying it's on Xbox as well, how many disc is the xbox version? How many times do I need to swap disc? Or is it just not as HiDef?
