If you're a game player, either Eurocom's Divine Duo M570U or Killer Notebooks' Executioner is an excellent choice. If you want to remain in the gaming mainstream, you might want to get the Divine with an Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 (or 7950) GTX graphics processor instead of the Nvidia Quadro FX 2500M. Though, if you plan to do any workstation-like tasks, you might want to stick with the Quadro because it performed as well as the Go 7900 in our tests.

Since both notebooks have the same motherboard, chassis, case and display, keyboard and touchpad and buttons, we can tell you about both by telling you about either. The chassis and case are strong and sturdy and the display is pretty good as notebook displays go (see the performance slide show for more). The keyboard is large and responsive. The touchpad works well.

The nice thing is that, though you can't purchase these notebooks from a range of vendors, you do have two vendors to buy from, www.eurocom.com and www.killernotebooks.com. You can go to either site, configure a Divine or Executioner to your hearts content and shoot for the best price and components.

If you're looking for something to back up our recommendations, be sure to see our slideshows.
