Ask.com Users Desperate for Miley Cyrus' Digits
This week search engines have been revealing the top search terms for 2009. Hot searches for 2009 were, overall, kind of predictable; Michael Jackson, Twitter and New Moon to name a few. What's more fun, is looking at Ask.com's top questions.
There is the usual, "How to get a six pack fast?" as well as "How much should I weigh?" but one of the more interesting questions is the number of people who are searching for Miley Cyrus' phone number. "What is Miley Cyrus' phone number?" ranked number five in the top ten questions for 2009.
Other top questions included "What is Twitter?" and "How do I get pregnant?" The number one question was "How much should I weigh?" This was followed by "How do I get out of debt fast?"
Interesting to note that Michael Jackson was number one on Bing, Google and Yahoo! but appears no where on Ask.com (save for number nine in Ask's. The only other search to appeared on more than one list was "Twitter." The top search terms for 2009 are below for anyone interested.

Very interesting. Isn't this kind of information useful for people like me just starting up a webpage? I wonder how I could get my rank up in the search engines faster? On my other site name, which only links to the one I am using now, when I had it active.. if you searched "Photo Retoucher Pro" I was 4th in ranking. But now I have more and more stuff on my site. I'll get it eventually.

Is the non-english speaking world becoming more internet savvy or are there way too many people in my country that don't speak my goddamn language?
Understand, no racism here, I love other cultures, but it's rather hard to appreciate them when the Mexican family across the street seems fairly nice but you don't know a word of Spanish. Kind of defeats the idea of community.

You don't need to know Spanish to appreciate them, actually the fact that you speak different languages could be a reason to appreciate them. I don't speak Korean (much anyways) but have some Korean neighbors, I have learned from them and they are great friends now, there are some barriers cause of the language thing but we work it out. If language alone is stopping you from your so called community, then you aren't trying hard enough or don't care for your community much.

Jackson was a freak, but he was also acquitted of all charges. Being a freak doesn't make you guilty of being a kiddie fiddler. It's sad how many people believe these stories made up by gold diggers and tabloid hacks.
