Sony Teases S1, S2 Tablets with Video

By - Source: Sony

A teaser in every sense of the word...

Sony today released a teaser video in an attempt to drum up interest for its upcoming S1 and S2 tablet devices. However, though it’s nearly two minutes long, the video doesn’t exactly provide much in the way of new information about the tablets. Worst of all, it doesn’t even hint towards a more specific release date than the ever-vague ‘fall 2011’ we’ve been hearing from Sony. Ah, well, it is only episode one. Perhaps the next one will have more info on these Honeycomb tablets?

In the mean time, feast your eyes on this rube goldberg machine that offers several glimpses of the 9-inch S1 and the dual-screen (5.5-inch x 2) S2.

It seems the tablets are getting way too many hands in the cookie jar. If the rumors are true from the previous article that some are already bailing out then we can expect more soon until there are only a few standing. As good as true competition is there is a limit on how many players can play the game. Imagine a game of monopoly with 20 players not going to work out very well right?

This means that most of them are simply going to be pushed out of the market and likely end up with a loss. More than likely all the little guys will be the victim of this. Just look at net-books there were more companies involved in that whole fad and now its down to a few.

Pretty much, but I am surrounded by Sony's professional equipment on a day to day basis (work for a TV station), so perhaps I am a bit biased. Rock solid equipment, just a bit pricey.
