Report: Google Nexus Two to be Motorola Device

- By - Source : Tom's Guide US

Google's Nexus One is barely cold and already we're planning the next iteration. Word on the street is Motorola will be designing the next Nexus device.

This isn't the first time we've heard the words "Google phone" and "Motorola" in the same sentence. Tech Radar point out that, at the Nexus One launch, the company had lips flapping when it said the device was just the first in a line of Google smartphones from an array of different manufacturers including HTC, Motorola and others. HTC got checked off the list with the launch of the Nexus One and now the Street reports that Motorola is could be working on the next one.

The Street cites co-CEO Sanjay Jha who outlined the company's 2010 plans in a conference call with analysts on Thursday. Jha detailed that 20 smartphones are on the bill for this year, including "one direct to consumer device with Google."

So many smartphones out there now a days. It's really difficult to find a good candy bar phone. I just like the feel of the push of a button rather than putting my finger prints on the screen.

MOTOROLAs only good phone was MILESTONE, infact it was GREAT

I'd have to give this thumbs down too. My motorola v3r always gave me good service. The only reason I stopped using it was because I wanted a different style of phone. It still works fine though.

Never thought I'd buy a Motorola phone and now I'm very happy with my Milestone.
But I must admit that the StarTAC was a good phone in his days.

Sounds like a good thing to me. The Droid was the undoubtedly the best phone available until the NexusOne came out, and the NexusOne and Droid are pretty close. I love my Droid, it's a great phone.

If Motorola made a rugged version built to military specifications like a couple of their cell phones, then they might have something.
