8.9-inch Galaxy Tab Launching March 22
Hints don't really get any bigger than this, do they?
Last Wednesday we heard about the possibility of an 8.9-inch Galaxy Tab from Samsung. Though the rumor mill said we’d see it ‘before summer’ there was supposedly also a possibility that we’d see it as soon as March. Well, we don’t need to tell you that March has arrived, but like clockwork, there’s more talk of that 8.9-inch Tab.
A teaser invite sent to selected members of the media asks, “What’s your Tab life?” along with the code ‘78910.’ We already know all about the original, 7-inch Galaxy Tab, and Samsung revealed the 10.1-inch device at MWC in Barcelona last month, so that just leaves numbers 8 and 9 unaccounted for. A little too convenient, don’t you think?

The event invite is dated for March 22, and the location is nothing more specific than Orlando, Florida. This matches up quite nicely with mobile conference CTIA, which is set to take place March 22-24 in, you guessed it, Orlando, Florida.
Of course, we’ll have to wait and see the specs for the 8.9-inch model but we’re assuming its going to run Android 3.0, just like the 10.1-inch model. With the rest of the line running Honeycomb, the Froyo-equipped Galaxy Tab is going to look a little bit like a cross between a smartphone and a tablet that can’t decide what it wants to be. Even more so if the 8.9-inch joins the 10.1-inch in packing Nvidia’s Tegra 2.
The only thing for it is to wait and see, so stay tuned!

Come on... Liquavista display!
personally 8.9 makes no sense to me, it's not even 2 bigger then a 7 and just over 1 less then a 10, the only way this would make sense is if this was a non widescreen format device
well they are subtle.
