EA is hosting a huge sale in celebration of over 40 million members on Origin.

EA's hosting a Player Appreciation Sale in celebration of upping Origin's user base to over 40 million. Not two months ago, Origin sat at the 39 million user mark. The hype generated from SimCity over the past few months have helped cushion those numbers. Apparently, despite the server issues that SimCity suffered, Origin still saw over 1.3 million concurrent users.

In any case, over 200 games—not only EA-published games, mind you—are on sale for the next week. Some of the best deals we've found are included below:

·        Battlefield 3 Premium – 50% off - $24.99

·        Crysis 3 – 50% off - $29.99

·        Dead Space 3 – 50% off - $29.99

·        Mass Effect 3 – 50% off - $10

·        Batman: Arkham City GOTY – 60% off - $12.00

·        The Walking Dead – 60% off - $10.00

·        Hitman: Absolution – 70% off - $15.00

·        Saint's Row the Third: The Full Package – 50% off - $24.99

·        Assassin's Creed III – 30% off - $34.99

·        Bulletstorm – 50% off - $9.99

Check out the full list of games on sale here.

    They call those offers? o.O

Guess I'm used to Steam sales being real bargains.

    Cheers! :p

EA sucks. Crysis is 50% off already. They're scared. Good.

What about EA's claim that sales like these devalued the franchises?

What was it EA said about putting their software on sale discounting their IP? Looks like something changed their collective, corporate mind. It really doesn't change my mind though. I don't support Origin or EA. I would consider supporting Origin if I had a choice. Release your games on both Steam and Origin so users have a choice, and when Origin is the better of the two, I'll buy them there, otherwise and until then, no thank you very much.

Or, more simply put, let's take some heat off the Simcity issues. How clever! This masterplan must have been engineered for weeks.

Can we get completed series of games on steam please? such as mass effect and dead space.

Thank you EA for ruining my game collection, lol.

I would only support EA through Steam and even that is like pulling teeth :)

They gave BF3 standard ed. and many others on the sale list as freebie 'apology option' software to disgruntled SimShi**y customers and so to now sell the same list of titles at massive reductions (they were over-priced anyway in a lot of cases) it is a bit of a slap in the face.

"Origin" and "apreciation" do not belong in the same phrase.

Even at these lower prices I'd rather pay full price and buy the game on Steam. EA and Origin have way too many issues.

Unless they pay me money to play on Origin I will never even install that POS launcher.

I hope you die a fiery death EA. You turned from a game company into a game troll that ruins everything in sight.
