Dell's Sexy Venue Pro is FINALLY Available
It's been a bit of a winding road for the Dell Venue Pro. It was announced the day of the Windows Phone 7 event but when WP7 launch day came, the Venue Pro was in short supply. Dell then had to stop shipments citing WiFi and battery concerns.
Today Dell has put the Pro back online for preorder with a price tag of $99 for the 8GB or $149.99 for the 16GB version (with a two-year T-Mobile contract). Those of you who don't wish to be bound by a contract can pick up an unlocked Venue Pro for $449.99.
In case you don't remember the Venue Pro, the sleek phone packs a long, slim form factor along with a slide-out portrait QWERTY keyboard and a 4.1-in. WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display.
Preliminary shipping date is listed as December 9, so you won't get your phone straight away, but you can order from Dell today.

Is this really unlocked? I spoke to two dell support reps and Onegin told me its unlocked and the other said it wasn't!
thats a decent price actually
I have no need for a phone that opens this way. The horizontal keyboard is the only way to have a keyboard on a phone. I'm really shocked they are still making phones like this.

The ONLY way eh? You can't use a horizontal keyboard very effectively with just one hand. This portrait slider can be used with either one or two.
My real preference is the soft keyboard (which is awesome in WP7) since you can use it either portrait or landscape, doesn't add to the bulk of the phone, and is one less mechanical part to fail.
Sexy? Hey author, what about it exactly, gives you a boner?
