Beijing (China) - China now has more Internet surfers than the United States, according to the China Internet Network Information Center. The center says 253 million people now regularly surf the web which is a 56% increase from a year ago. However, penetration remains low as just 19.1% of the population uses the net.
In comparison, the United States has an estimated 223.1 million Internet users with 71% of the population using the net.

And your point would be? Oh wait it's that the Chinese can look at even less internet. Gotcha. China sucks. And wait, this is from the Chinese government... Yea I believe that....
I was going to point out that same thing Mr_Man.. I think if they weren't so locked down, they would have surpassed us a lot sooner. Who wants to browse the web when all you can read about is how caring and fluffy the government is, after you just got beat down by said government?
