Asics, Adidas and New Balance running shoes are up to 43% off for a very good reason right now — 11 deals I've handpicked for Global Running Day
Save on running shoes this Global Running Day
Today is Global Running Day and as an obsessive runner myself, I'm a fan of any occasion that drives more people towards the sport I love.
One of the beauties of running is that you don’t need a lot of equipment, a dedicated space or even other people to do it (though running buddies always make it more fun).
You do need a set of proper running shoes though, because these will enhance your comfort and enjoyment of the sport.
Running shoes can be expensive, but if you know what to look for, there are always big discounts available on excellent shoes, and I’ve scoured the sales to find these 11 deals on great sneakers I’ve tested myself, and know are worth the money.

This cushioned daily trainer is often reduced now that the 1080v15 has been out for a few months, and with a discount as big as this, the 1080v14 is worth looking at. The price changes with the size and color you go for, with the best deal I've spotted reducing it to just $99.

One of my favorite running shoes from any brand, the Evo SL is a lightweight, speedy daily trainer that's often on sale somewhere if you shop around. The black version of the women's shoe has been reduced by 30% in the Adidas sale, with most sizes still available.

I loved running in the New Balance SC Trainer v3 plated trainer, but it was overpriced, something that is no longer a problem thanks to this huge discount on the shoe available at Amazon. The price varies with size and color, with this deal being available on the white and pink models of the shoe.

The Asics Sonicblast is a plated super-trainer designed to handle a wide variety of runs, and can even be used for races. It's overpriced at $180 in my opinion, but at $109 in the Amazon sale, it's a great option for those hunting for a versatile running shoe.

The Asics Gel-Kayano 32 is a very comfortable stability shoe that provides extra support for runners who overpronate. It's likely to be in sales going forward now that the Gel-Kayano 33 has come out, and having tested both, I'd say getting the saving on the older shoe is the better buy.

The lightweight Rebel v5 is a comfortable and speedy daily trainer that's perfect for those who don't love the feel of max-cushioned shoes, as it has a more grounded feel. The deals available on the shoe vary with color and size, with the biggest saving at Amazon, reducing it to $115.

If you split your runs between the roads and the trails the Hierro v9 is comfortable option that can handle both, and it's been reduced by $40 in the Amazon sale right now.

The Clifton 10 is one of the most popular running shoes on the market for a reason; it's comfortable and works for beginners and experienced runners alike. It's also a common sight in sales with the Clifton 11 set to launch soon, and you can save over $30 on almost all colors of the shoe right now.

The Novablast 6 has just come out, making the time ripe for deal-hunting on the Novablast 5. This $20 saving isn't the biggest, but still worth considering as the Novablast 5 is an excellent cushioned running shoe I regularly recommend to new runners in particular.

The Superblast 2 is a max-stack super-trainer that's exceptionally light, given the amount of cushioning it offers. It's a very versatile shoe and usually very expensive, but you can save $50 on it in the Amazon sale right now.

The Skyward X is as cushioned and comfortable as shoes get, and it's brilliant for helping you to roll through long runs in particular. It's a very expensive shoe, but this $45 discount makes it a lot more affordable.

Big discounts on carbon plate racers are hard to find, so this $80 saving on the fastest shoe in the New Balance line-up is certainly eye-catching. It's not a shoe you'd use for your everyday runs, but if you're chasing PRs, the SC Elite v5 will help you get there.
