I'm what you might call a "Lego Maniac." The term, coined by the Lego marketing department sometime in the 1980s, refers to anyone obsessed with the ubiquitous plastic building bricks.

Moreover, every time Amazon Prime Day rolls around, I go on the hunt for the absolute best Lego deals to purchase for myself and to share with fellow Lego enthusiasts. This time around, you can save some serious coin on a small but solid selection of Lego sets. Some, like the Lego Creative Large Brick Box, are discounted by as much as 44% off at Amazon.

Other outstanding Prime Day Lego deals include the Super Mario Piranha Plant for just $37, reduced from $59 at Amazon. Plus, tons of Lego Speed Champion and F1 kits are discounted. These sets are both fun to build and display, including the Lego Ferrari SF-24 F1 for $21.

I've linked the above deals and many more, including savings on Botanicals, Creations, and even Star Wars sets, below.

Best Prime Day Lego deals

Lego City Yellow Taxi
Lego City Yellow Taxi: was $14 now $10 at Amazon

This fun little yellow taxi cab set is as easy on the eyes as it is on the wallet. Perfect for anyone with a soft spot for NYC — the car looks like it's been plucked right off the streets of Manhattan — it includes a scruffy driver, and a laptop+luggage-toting traveler.

Lego Speed Champions Ferrari F1
Lego Speed Champions Ferrari F1: was $26 now $21 at Amazon

I also own this surprisingly challenging-to-build Lego Ferrari F1 set, and it looks nothing short of fab on display in my office. Sure, Lego might offer even more hyper-realistic looking F1 builds, but none as reasonably priced as this.

Lego Speed Champions Ferrari F40
Lego Speed Champions Ferrari F40: was $26 now $21 at Amazon

Here's another offer for the Ferrari lover in your life. While an actual Ferrari F40 might set you back anywhere from two to four million dollars, this Lego replica will barely cost you more than a twenty-spot. And of course, it comes in the brand's legendary Racing Red color.

Lego Star Wars OBI-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Starfighter
Lego Star Wars OBI-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Starfighter: was $29 now $27 at Amazon

I realize this Star Wars Lego deal isn't exactly a barn burner, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to snag one for myself. Ultimately, Star Wars Legos don't often go on sale, especially cool Jedi starship sets like this. Either way, I'm hoping this one gets even cheaper as the Prime Day festivities roll on.

Lego Super Mario Piranha Plant
Lego Super Mario Piranha Plant: was $59 now $37 at Amazon

Nearly as good as the deal above, this seriously awesome Super Mario Piranha Plant is 37% off, which came as a surprise to me, given how popular the Mario x Lego kits have proven to be. Nevertheless, I wouldn't hesitate to grab this one ASAP if you feel so inclined, because it will almost certainly sell out fast.

Lego Botanicals Bonsai Tree
Lego Botanicals Bonsai Tree: was $49 now $39 at Amazon

While the Lego Botanical kits aren't my cup of tea, they are enormously popular with fellow enthusiasts for the display-worthy quality of the finished product, even if the build process is a tad tedious.

Lego Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock Subway Train Scene
Lego Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock Subway Train Scene: was $54 now $44 at Amazon

This Lego Marvel Spider-Man set is totally badass for several reasons (another I already own). For starters, the train itself is designed to run on Lego's existing track system. Moreover, it looks strikingly similar to an actual MTA subway car, which, as a former New Yorker, makes me smile. Finally, it comes with not one, not two, but four movie-realistic minifigures.
