As December ushers in twinkling lights, chilly nights, and the first hints of holiday cheer, it’s the perfect moment to explore new TV shows premiering on Netflix, Disney Plus and other streaming services, as well as cable and broadcast channels.

Cyber Monday streaming deals

Cyber Monday streaming deals are discounting many of the top services, including Hulu, Disney Plus, Apple TV, Paramount Plus and HBO Max. Don't miss out!

This week, the gripping period drama “The Abandons” transports viewers to 1854 Washington Territory, where family secrets and rivalries collide in a world of wealth and survival. Fans of in-depth conversations can tune into “My Next Guest With David Letterman and Adam Sandler,” while the festive spirit comes alive in “Dancing With the Stars: Dancing With the Holidays,” a special that brings sparkle and cheer to the dance floor.

Here's our guide on the top new TV shows to check out this week.

'Tis the season to binge TV! This week, I'll definitely tune into "The Abandons." And I'm still avidly watching every episode of "Pluribus," plugging away at "Poldark" and looking to start "Down Cemetery Road."

‘My Next Guest With David Letterman and Adam Sandler’ (Netflix)

Watch On

David Letterman is back with a special edition of “My Next Guest,” and this time he’s catching up with Adam Sandler — onstage, backstage and everywhere in between. The episode lands just days before Sandler’s new Noah Baumbach film, “Jay Kelly,” hits Netflix, making the timing feel like peak streamer synergy.

But the conversation itself digs deeper. Sandler revisits his early stand-up bombs, his big break on “Saturday Night Live” and the long, weird road to global stardom. Expect plenty of self-deprecation and a few surprise detours.

Special premieres Monday, Dec. 1 at 3 a.m. ET on Netflix

‘Dancing With the Stars: Dancing With the Holidays’ (Disney Plus)

“Dancing With the Stars” isn’t content to let the confetti settle. Fresh off crowning Robert Irwin as the winner of season 34, the show is spinning up a new holiday tradition with a one-hour special that turns the ballroom into a tinsel-lit playground.

Expect to see the pros put on festive routines, big musical performances, and the kind of cheesy moments the franchise revels in. It’s a sparkling encore designed to carry “DWTS” fans from the finale into full holiday mode.

Special premieres Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney Plus

Watch On

Reba McEntire takes the reins at this year’s Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting, hosting for the first time with a little help from “Today” staples Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin and Al Roker.

She’ll also jump into the musical mix, joining a stacked lineup that swings from Michael Bublé to Gwen Stefani, Halle Bailey, Marc Anthony, New Edition, and of course, the ever-precise Rockettes (celebrating their 100th). As always, it all builds to that iconic moment: the 50,000 lights flicking on and the Swarovski star blazing over Midtown.

‘The Abandons’ (Netflix)

Watch On

“The Abandons” doesn’t just ride into the Old West; it storms in with two iron-willed matriarchs ready to redraw the frontier. In 1854 Washington Territory, Fiona Nolan (Lena Headey) leads a family of outcasts who just want to keep their hard-won patch of land. Constance Van Ness (Gillian Anderson) has the wealth, ambition and muscle to steamroll anyone in her way.

When their worlds collide, the result is a powder keg of revenge, grudges, secrets and a star-crossed romance. Consider this your cue to saddle up before the guns go a-blazing.

All 7 episodes premiere Thursday, Dec. 4 at 3 a.m. ET on Netflix

Watch On

Take another spin in the 90210 as “RHOBH” returns with style, glamour and, of course, drama. Kyle Richards is juggling a wedding and a possible split, Erika Jayne is chasing love while dodging headlines, and Dorit Kemsley leans on Rachel Zoe for support post-divorce.

Meanwhile, Sutton Stracke reinvents herself, Bozoma St. John is engaged, and newcomers Amanda Frances and Natalie Swanston Fuller stir the pot. From Hamptons surf lodges to Florence villas, friendships are tested, secrets (and wine) spill and glitter is everywhere.

Episode 1 premieres Thursday, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo (via Sling or YouTube TV) and next day on Peacock
