Netflix has just given us a huge update about a forthcoming Irish family drama inspired by a bestselling Marian Keyes novel. Created by the writer of the binge-worthy Kaitlyn Dever-led drama, "Apple Cider Vinegar" writer Sam Strauss, "Grown Ups" will introduce us to the tight-knit, "chaotic" Casey clan.

The series sees the Caseys shaken by a death in the family, and forced to confront their emotions (or, quite literally, "grow up"). Per an announcement on Tudum, we know that production on the new series just got underway today (September 11) in Dublin, Ireland.

Of the new show, Strauss says: "James Griffiths, our setup director, is already crafting something beautiful and very human.

"I am pinching myself to be in the company of our preposterously glorious cast and our fantastic crew as we shoot here in sunny Ireland." Here's what we know about "Grown Ups" so far.

Netflix's synopsis for "Grown Ups" (via Tudum) reads as follows: "Set in south county Dublin, 'Grown Ups' follows the chaotic lives of the Casey clan, a noisy, tight-knit Irish family, who are bound together by a tangled web of loyalty, resentment, money, memory, and love.

"When the rock of the family, the 'good son,' dies unexpectedly, it sets off a seismic emotional reckoning. Over the course of the next year, the Caseys will fall in and out of love, confront old wounds and make some new ones. They'll be forced to face not only their grief, but the exhausting, relentless, and often ridiculous struggle of being an adult. Despite their age and responsibilities, the Caseys are far from grown up."

If you can't wait to meet the Caseys, why not pick up Marian Keyes' "Grown Ups" and read the book the show's based on for yourself?

"Grown Ups" boasts an impressive cast, which includes "Bad Sisters" stars Sarah Greene and Barry Ward, comedian and "This Way Up" star Aisling Bea, "Umbrella Academy's" Robert Sheehan, Amy-Leigh Hickman, Adrian Dunbar, Sinéad Cusack, Karin Hanczewski, James Agnew and Katelyn Rose Downey.

It's a cast list that's even earned a stamp of approval from the author herself; Marian Keyes describes the ensemble as "above and beyond my wildest dreams — what an incredibly talented group of people."

"Grown Ups" does not currently have a Netflix release date, but with production underway, we'll hopefully learn more about Netflix's new drama soon.
