Buddy's Zoomy NBN 1000 plan is now the cheapest around at just $85p/m – but you'll need to be equally speedy to nab this deal

I typically spend most of my week fetching the best NBN plans worth your hard-earned cash, and one of my top dogs providers has just delivered a damn good deal.
This good boy provider is Buddy Telco, an ISP that piggybacks off Aussie Broadband's premium network to supply internet services. I've been a fan of Buddy's no-frills plans for quite some time now, as the telco delivers some seriously fast speeds for attractive prices, often beating out its parental counterpart for value.
Right now, Buddy is offering a sizable deal on its NBN 1000 plan. For just AU$85p/m for the first three months, you'll save AU$42 before the price increases to AU$99p/m ongoing. Sure, this isn't the longest introductory outlay I've seen from the telco; however, it does make Buddy the cheapest provider on the tier.
You'll need to act fast if you want to nab these ultrafast speeds — this deal is only available until Monday, October 13 – that’s just days away!
Buddy Telco | AU$85p/m using code ZOOMY (for 3 months, then AU$99p/m)
Buddy Telco’s Zoomy NBN 1000 plan now advertises a whopping 1,000Mbps downloads and 100Mbps uploads during the busy evening hours of 7pm to 11pm. Buddy's reputation is seriously solid, receiving 4.3 stars on Product Review for customer service, speeds and setup. Do note, though, that this plan is available for HFC and FTTP addresses only.
Total minimum cost: AU$85 | Total first year cost: AU$$1,146 | Total yearly cost: AU$1,188
As for typical evening speeds, Buddy claims to reach theoretical maximums of 1,000Mbps for downloads and an impressive 100Mbps for uploads. This has surpassed Buddy's previous, yet still substantial, speed claims of 875Mbps/42Mbps.
Now, much can be said about the best NBN 1000 plans, like how they can provide internet for 10+ people with multiple devices, but no providers truly offer the magic 1,000Mbps maximum speeds. That's not a slight to any provider, including Buddy, but as I've noticed (and come to anticipate for the new hyperfast tier), there is simply not enough speed data to accurately measure such claims. That said, the ultrafast tier did recently receive an upload boost to now offer speeds of 100Mbps, in line with the new accelerated NBN speed tiers.
When it comes to inclusions, Buddy's plan works on a no-lock-in contract basis and has unlimited data. And much like ABB, if you find that 1,000Mbps is too many megabits for you and your family, you can drop down to Buddy's Super Speedy 500Mbps plan at any time, free of charge.
Buddy Telco has also evolved its offerings in the past 18 months since its launch. Previously, the telco only provided NBN services without hardware; however, now, you can add the Amazon eero 6+ for AU$180 upfront plus shipping.
The telco also offers a locally based support team that can answer any queries or concerns you may have between 11am and 7pm AEDT. If you need assistance outside of these hours, Buddy's AI chatbot will be available via the telco's app.
