SYSMark 2004 SE Results
As these test results show, the Thinkpad Z60m is well-suited for everyday use, whether in the hands of a typical consumer at home, or in the care of a professional at work. Under all circumstances, buyers are strongly urged to populate both memory slots with compatible SODIMM modules - that's the only way to take advantage of the performance potential that dual-channel memory architecture offers. Equipping your notebook with 1 GB of RAM is not an urgent necessity, because even when the unit has just two 256 MB modules, the performance advantage is still measurable. However, going to 1 GB is highly beneficial because of the many pre-installed tools that take up system memory and the consequences of populating both memory slots. We discussed this in the section of this article entitled "Easily Increase Performance With Dual Channel Memory".
