2. Size Matters: What The Devices Look Like

OK, so let me introduce you to the three devices I'm going to talk about here. The two smart phones are Motorola's V557 and Razr V3. The PDA is RIM's Blackberry 7250; it has full phone capabilities. I own the V557 and 7250 and use both every day. The Razr V3 is a loaner. I've been giving it a thorough workout. Service for the two smart phones comes from Cingular. Verizon provides service for my Blackberry.

Here's what the three devices look like. The three images are not to scale, but not to worry. After the pictures flip over to the next page where I'll tell more than you probably ever wanted to know about the size and weight of these units.

The V557 is typical of Motorola's rounded clamshell design.

Motorola's snazzy Razr V3 is a flat and boxy clamshell smart phone.

No clamshell for RIM's Blackberry 7250; what you see is what you get.
