Special editions of game consoles appear to attract new buyers. That concept may not only work for Microsoft, which has been offering a Halo-themed Xbox 360 as, but also for Sony, which earlier this year released its PSP in different colors that were attached to game titles. Now Sony follows up with a "Devil May Cry 4" PS3 bundle, which introduces a "ceramic white" PS3.

A second version of the bundle will include the regular black version of the game console.

The bundle includes "a 60-minute high quality real-time full CG movie", the Devil May Cry 4 game, one wireless controller, as well as a 40 GB PS3. Scheduled for a January 31 release, the bundle will cost 47,800 yen, which translates to about $425. Sony did not say whether the white PS3 will also come to the U.S.
