The MobileMark 2005 benchmarks test how a mobile computer does when running on battery. There are four battery life tests: office productivity, research and reading, DVD playback and wireless Web browsing. Each test uses real world applications and runs from the time the computer's battery reaches full charge and the power plug is pulled, until the battery is totally discharged; test results are reported in minutes. In addition, MobileMark 2005 calculates two performance values while doing the office productivity test: an overall performance score and the average response time for completion of all the tasks in the office productivity test. The overall performance score is based on average response time, and is scaled against the performance of a modestly powered reference system that received a score of 100.
The following charts present the MobileMark 2005 tests for the Toshiba Qosmio G25-AV513. Our conclusions follow the charts.

MobileMark 2005 Battery Life And Performance Benchmarks: Conclusions
Like most high performance notebook computers, the Toshiba Qosmio has somewhat limited battery life when compared with more modestly performing notebooks and laptops. The G25 rated well on Office Productivity with a score of 162 and an average response time of 1.5 seconds. Battery life for all four of the benchmarks ranged between one hour 40 minutes for DVD playing, and two hours and 2 minutes for the Reader benchmark, which puts comparatively little strain on a computer's battery.
The MobileMark results further support our belief that this notebook is best suited to duty as a desktop replacement. Of course, its 9.5 pound weight doesn't exactly put it in the drag-it-around-everywhere-category either!
