10. PCMark05 Performance Benchmarks

Like SYSmark 2004 SE, PCMark05 is all about performance. It includes an overall system test suite and test suites that focus on the CPU, memory, graphics and hard disk drives. If any part of a test suite cannot run or fails, a PCMark05 score is not computed for that suite. If a score cannot be computed for a test suite, no overall system score is computed.

PCMark scores are scaled to run between 1200 and 5500. Low and high end reference systems are used to scale and compute the low (1200) and high (5500) scores. However, scores less than 1200 and greater than 5500 are possible.

Here are the charts showing PCMark05 scores for the Toshiba Qosmio G25-AV513. Our conclusions regarding these scores follow the charts.

PCMark05 Performance Benchmarks: Conclusions

PSMark05 results show the Toshiba Qosmio G25 to be a solid higher end notebook PC. Its overall score of almost 3000 puts it in a class with other powerful desktop replacement notebooks. This judgment is also borne out by the G25's impressive CPU, memory, hard disk drive scores.

The only disappointment is the graphics benchmark score of 2381. As the 3DMark05 tests show, the Qosmio G25 performs somewhat slowly when challenged by applications with complex graphics requirements.
