6. Inconsistencies Displaying Free Storage Space

Unfortunately, the charge display just described does not tally with the driver: Even when the pen signals that it's full, the Twain driver still registers that fewer than 500 kB are up for grabs.

Full or not? The driver shows free space although the pen says it's full.

There is no charge indicator for the internal battery. We don't think you need one either as the Docupen's battery is recharged automatically whenever data is downloaded via the USB cable. At no point during our test phase of several weeks were we left standing with a non-working scanner because of an empty battery.
