13. Multimedia Performance: PC Mark 2002

PC Mark confirms what the previous scores had implied. Despite a lower CPU clock, the Pentium-M 1.6 GHz is absolutely equal with its rival, the Pentium 4-M. Both platforms achieve nearly identical scores in this benchmark, even with regard to the memory performance. It seems that PCMark's memory benchmark is less sensitive to the L1/L2 cache, but rather reflecting pure system memory performance, as it should.

When running on the battery, we again see a familiar picture.
