White to match your iPod...

...or black to match your MP3 player; but the orange backlight isn't easy on the eyes.

No catchy names, but an excellent signal. There's a Universal FM Transmitter that's very similar to the iPod version, but with a headphone connector rather than a dock connector and in black plastic rather than white; only the iPod connector charges the player in the car.

The tuning control, display and three preset buttons are on the adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter, which is convenient if the socket is on the dashboard, but much less so if it's in the glove box or beside the seat. The orange backlight makes the screen hard to read, especially at an angle, and it's quite slow to tune from frequency to frequency. The signal is strong, however, and the audio quality is reasonable - better with the iPod dock - and so is the stereo separation.
