4. Almost Done

Finally, we had to put the finishing touches on our song. By clicking the Toggle Detail View, we were able to easily adjust the panning and volume automation on each track. The coolest feature about this program is that when we set the automation for one region, every other instance of that region would automatically adopt the same automation (as shown in the above picture.)

Our song was almost complete, but we needed a slight hint of distortion on our bass. TrakAx supposedly supports DirectX plugins, so we though we'd try using a third party plugin. Much to our disappointment, TrakAx selected the parameters of our plugin itself. In live performance mode, plugins worked fine, but in edit mode the plugin processed the selected audio with some default amount of whichever plugin we selected.

The track was then done, though it's probably not a chart-topper! When exporting the file, TrakAx lets you pick from three formats: WAV (16-bit only), WMA, or AVI (if you included video in your mix).
