We expected the PCG-NVR23 with its Geforce4Go 420 GPU to turn in a higher 3D performance than the Evo N1015v with its integrated graphics solution (IGP320M). However, for Sony customers it is a source of annoyance that the Geforce4Go 420 drivers (Ver. 6.13.10.3050) provided on the website are incapable of extracting the potential performance from the machine. The graphics card clearly performed better with the drivers we obtained from Nvidia (Ver. 6.14.01.4340).
Open-GL Games: Quake3 Arena

The Quake 3 results confirm the good 3D performance of the PCG-NVR23.
