The other games are somewhat less well perfected, however. In Blackjack, messages telling you that you won or lost a hand appear and vanish somewhat quickly after the dealer turns over his last card. There is also no 5-Card Charlie distinction in place, which is a common Blackjack rule and is observed in virtually all Blackjack video games.

Slots? Not!

Superslots is a very bland and basic slot machine simulation. It looks like something quickly constructed without a really good graphic designer on hand. There's a virtual handle attached to the machine, one of the key characteristics of a slot machine, but it remains completely inactive in this game. To enter your bet, you just push a button at the bottom that reads "spin all". Puzzleslots is a confusing game that has the exact same slot machine but gives you a set number of adjustments to each slot wheel. Again, it's bland and unattractive and really not much fun to play.

Jackpot Casino is also weak in some of its other features. You start with $1,000 in chips, and it does keep track of your winnings should you quit and come back to it later. However, if you ever drop below $1,000, your chips will be reset to $1,000 when you come back, essentially entirely removing the element of risk from the game. Also, there is almost no music in the game. If you have your Pocket PC's volume turned up to the max, you may hear a faint parlor tune in the background that's just a short, repetitive mix of a few different notes.

Conclusions

There is also no sense of accomplishment when you win a bet. All that appears on screen is a short notification and a stale "ka-ching" sound effect. There's nothing to strive for. There's no high roller status. The whole thing feels rushed, like there was little effort put into it. Mobile Stream gave us no real reason to get involved with this game. A good deal of fine tuning and improvement in the game's environment would have gone a long way in making Jackpot Casino better. Unfortunately the ultimate result is nothing more than a half-baked losing turn at the roulette wheel.
