We then report the scores for all five of the test suites. The PCMark score for the System test suite is the overall score for the computer under test; if a test within any test suite does not run, no score is calculated for the suite or for the system as a whole.
Notice in the screen capture above that the system and graphics test suites could not be run in their entirety, so no overall or graphics PCMark scores were reported. PCMark05 noted that the computer the test was run on did not support pixel or vertex shading. The first screen capture below is for that system, Acer's lower end TravelMate 2304 LCi notebook computer. Notice that it shows no information about pixel or vertex shading in the second of the three columns on the upper half of the screen. This verifies the fact that the TravelMate's graphics system doesn't support pixel or vertex shading.
The next screen capture is for a different computer, Toshiba's high end Qosmio G25 notebook computer. The second column includes version information for both pixel and vertex shading, indicating the Qosmio supports both. The Qosmio was able to run the system and graphics test suites and PCMark05 reported scores for all test suites including those for system and graphics.

The Acer TravelMate 2304CLi does not support pixel or vertex shading.

The Toshiba Qosmio G25 supports pixel and vertex shading.
We run PCMark05 on Windows XP SP2. The only additional software requirements are that Microsoft Media Player 10 and Microsoft Media Encoder 9 be installed on the test computer. We use the same system and Windows settings as for SYSmark 2004 SE; you can find these above ("Preparing for and Running SYSmark 2004 SE").
