Capivara
Sometimes you get what you pay for, but sometimes you get more, and that’s the case with Capivara-because it’s free! At a basic level, Capivara provides both local and remote synchronization options, with the remote options coming by way of FTP or SSH connections. It’ll do the basic comparison by time stamp or file size to see which file is more current, and then provide a preview of what will be synced in a synchronization operation.
Capiva provides the choice of making folder pairs identical-sometimes called “mirroring” in other software-adding newer files from the source to the target, or just copying unique files from one side to the other.
Unfortunately, Capivara does not go much beyond that basic functionality. It does not include any built-in scheduling options, nor any options for dealing with deleted files. Actually, it doesn’t have a whole lot of options in general. It is what it sets out to be: a solid, basic, file comparison and synchronization tool.

I have used Synchronex since the close of the beta and I will continue to use it to maintain a secure sync across my own LAN as well as the internet for the foreseeable future.
