Employee Caught Selling Historic Docs On eBay
Albany (NY) - The head of New York’s State Library has been arrested for selling historical documents on eBay. 54-year-old Daniel Lorello allegedly stole hundreds of documents from state archives including a 1823 letter written by Vice President John Calhoun. Some of those documents were then sold on eBay for thousands of dollars.
Lorello has been placed on administrative leave from his cushy $71,000 a year job and now faces several charges including grand larceny, possessing stolen property and fraud.
